Founded in 1979 by Derek Brian Sharp, DB Sharp & Sons began as a bold family venture at a time when many would consider slowing down. What started as local plumbing and electrical services in Letchworth soon evolved into a respected building company, driven by determination, skill and trust.
From long shifts on coal lorries to mastering the trades, Derek’s journey shaped the company’s work ethic — one rooted in honesty, resilience and pride in workmanship.

DB Sharp & Sons grew from a small family operation into a multi-disciplinary building company covering Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and beyond. With sons joining the business, and now grandsons actively involved, the company continues to balance tradition with modern construction practices.
